The Donohoe Companies are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join a large facility in Washington. Hours for this position are Friday 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Saturday, and Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.     Major Duties: - Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment - Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis - Maintain equipment to industry standards - Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor - Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required - Interface with the building manager and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction - Complete daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisor - Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion - Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports of system status and work completed - Prepare predictive maintenance on assigned equipment in order to prevent breakdowns and/or outages - Must be able to pass background check - Accurately document work performed on tickets and/or work orders

This position is responsible for the physical data collection of assets tracked by the Inova CMMS system for their six area hospital campuses in Northern Virginia. The position requires  tracking of numerous projects, from single rooms to entire buildings, across all six campuses. The Painter will patch, paint, perform light carpentry, and other general cosmetic repairs in hotel rooms, event spaces and administrative offices. This position is located in Adelphi, MD. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.     - Scrape, remove wallpaper, strip, sandpaper, prime, and/or seal surfaces prior to finishing - Cover or otherwise protect furniture, carpeting, and other surfaces from paint spattering. Remove any spattered paint or over-spray - Mix, match, and carefully apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes using spray gun, rollers, brushes, as indicated. Evaluate need for additional application(s) - Safely erect scaffolding as needed - Clean and care for brushes, spray guns, and other equipment - Hang and repair wallpaper, hang and repair drywall, apply and repair plaster, tape and apply joint compound as required - Purchase routine supplies and make recommendations relating to the purchase of equipment, securing supervisory authorization for major expenditures - Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas and comply with all generally recognized safety procedures - May be assigned other responsibilities, such as moving furniture, driving agency vehicle, installing vinyl baseboard, caulking, and minor carpentry - Other related responsibilities as assigned.
