    Complete Building Services, a building operations and facilities maintenance company, is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Washington, DC. CBS is a division of The Donohoe Companies, Inc. - Washington's oldest real estate company.

     

    The Maintenance Mechanic shall perform repairs and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment within the facility. Hours for this position are 10:30 am - 7:00 pm Monday - Friday, subject to change. Rotating weekend (on-call) work is required.

    About the Role

    A typical day may include:

    • Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment
    • Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis
    • Maintain equipment to industry standards
    • Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by supervisor
    • Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required
    • Interface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
    • Complete daily, weekly and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisor
    • Place or remove systems and equipment as directed
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    You Should Have

    Your experience shall have included journeyman level experience in at least two of the following trades and relevant knowledge of the remaining trades:

    1. Operating/adjusting building HVAC systems for efficiency and comfort
    2. Maintaining/trouble shooting/repairing the following systems/equipment: 

             a. Chillers and chilled water systems

             b. Building HVAC equipment

             c. Boilers and hot water heating systems

             d. Domestic water and plumbing systems

             e. Electrical systems including lighting, motors, starters, contactors, etc.

             f.  Must possess CFC Universal (410A certified preferred)
