Donohoe Real Estate Services, headquartered in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Director, Accounting and Reporting for its Commercial Property Management and Leasing Division.

Donohoe has developed, built and/or owns and operates seven million square feet of office and industrial space, as well as 11 hotels, primarily in the Greater Washington, D.C./Baltimore area and the mid-Atlantic region.

Donohoe Real Estate Services provides management services including asset management, facilities management, and full service property management responsible for the leasing, physical management, and sale of commercial properties.


  • Preparation of financial statements for managed and owned properties
  • Preparation of annual Divisional budgets
  • Interface with owners, lenders, brokers and property managers
  • Maintenance and review of cash balances, including bank reconciliations
  • Monitor Receivables and Collection Process
  • Maintain fee revenue for three offices
  • Monitor payables function; review and approve Division expenses
  • Coordinate and implement cost controls with Division President
  • Preparation for property audits and tax returns
  • Evaluation and implementation of accounting IT processes
  • Supervision and training of property accounting and lease administration staff


  • Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of financial statements, auditing, accounting information systems, internal controls, budgeting and planning, all with a real estate emphasis
  • Managerial experience in medium to large accounting environment
  • Preferably 10 years commercial property accounting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MRI platform preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA preferred
